My overall experience with Ivanti Neurons UEM was a very positive experience. The platform provided strong capabilities for managing endpoints and allowed me and my team to reduce the manual overhead. However, the initial set up felt a little too complex and making it compatible with my environment.

Ivanti unified endpoint management has allowed me to bring a vast amount of flexibility to our organization managing endpoints. Provisioning of new devices gives us a standard going out the door to ensure troubleshooting is optimized. Being able to package and deliver software automated has been a huge win for us. We have been able to change WiFi passwords, enable BitLocker, install and configure software filling in values so the end user does not need to has cut down on help calls significantly. Being able to automate patching of both Microsoft and third party solutions makes it a one stop hub for administration.

There were a few things I liked about this product, but the main thing I used it for was the agent check-ins for vulnerability patching. I would work on manual vulnerability patching for online devices and the devices I was not able to send patches to, when the Neurons agent checked in for the platform, it was scanned and patches were sent. .

Device provisioning giving a standard template for devices. Patch automation for third party and Microsoft solutions. Software deployment for installation and configuration.

It's flexibility and customisation possibilities.

I disliked the initial set up process. Depending on how secure your environment is, mine was secure and a lot of ports were disabled. We had to get executives to sign off on opening ports to allow this software to work. We also had to constantly in the beginning have an Ivanti rep help us with the set up.

Remote control feature has issues. We have purchased another solution to use for remote control. Support has struggled at times to address issues. Administration console does not function well unless run from the core server.

Too many GUIs, approaching a single pane of glass, not there yet.
