LeanIX Enterprise Architecture Likes & Dislikes
- reporting, dashboarding and modelling are key to bringt the messages across in a way that everybody understands at ANY TIME (automatically updated) - extensibility of the model is a key to make it fit to our organizational needs - it has helped tremendously - surveys allow very easy information gathering, so we can focus on important things (the things that do not require tedious data gathering from stakeholders) - the vision after all the years, it's still a product that is evolving and pushing new and required features to be a modern, good EA - that is key to use them further down the road
Read Full ReviewThe tool is exceptional. Easy to use, fun to use, creates value for many different types of stakeholders.
Read Full Review- some content is not easily accessible (presentations from events, quarterly roadmap) - but it should be - would be interesting to know the possibilities of participate in beta-tests (know of beta-tested functions to be part in the test) - sometines you find bugs in lower-level reports, but they're usually fixed quite fast

Read Full ReviewWorking with lists (Inventory) has 2 annoying quirks: 1. When editing inline, saving gives multiple errors if the duration since last refresh is over a few minutes. Not one error, but one error for each changed item and the error messages do not go away automatically, creating a lot of clicks to close. Very annoying! 2. Scrolling is not immediate and refreshing takes the user to the top of the list, meaning that a lot of wait time to scroll down to the item the user wants to edit. KPI editing is not as easy as it should be, requiring pseudocode and only updating once a day. These are the biggest (only?) gripes to an extraordinarily well-functioning product. Another weakness is not being able to combine fact sheet types as the main basis of report but the drill-down features. Another urgent request we have raised is to be able to filter away related items that do not meet desired criteria (e.g. drill down, but only items that meet criteria We are not a SAP house so we have a serious concern that the product will gradually lose its independence and focus or begin to require SAP products that we do not have or want. Support for the Financial Industry is weak, for example the Global Repository doesn't include Bloomberg services or other globally recognized financial applications.

Digital Transformation powered by an extensible, easy-to-work-with and collaborative workhorse of a tool for any size of organization
During a thorough selection process LeanIX emerged as our favorite candidate early in the process. LeanIX is an easy-to-use and quick-to-get system that allows ANY user (IT versed and non-versed) to get the information that they need, additionally, the reports and presentations enable quick communication to bring the messages across that management requires to be answered and that an EA practice is providing. Also, the extensibility has been a key factor, the ease of administration and freedom of attribute and workflow creation make it a platform where not only EAs are conserving their knowledge, but also collaborate with key functions like IT-security, data privacy and quality. So far the service has been quick and reliable and easy to access, always helpful even when tough questions needed to be answered. I also want to highlight the community-based approach and the CSM program, which helps newcomers a lot with their journey and let's you connect to other experienced customers to share knowledge on how to solve the problems at hand - in the end the problems and challenges are similar among enterprises. - IT Associate1B-10B USDBankingReview Source
Excellent, enjoyable tool to use that was a game-changer for raising EA credibility
LeanIX has been a game changer. We purchased the tool about 2 months before a major merger was announced. We were able to load the new company's applications within a few hours, then using TIME and successor-mapping, we provided insights about potential gaps in coverage and helped migration teams with project scopes. The tool has arguably paid for itself in terms of time saved and ability to identify gaps in coverage. Truly excellent documentation and technical support, but it often takes time to get to the right level of expertise. Once that happens, the problems have been resolved instantly and well, and most have proven to be issues on our side. The support site is pretty horrendous though, with non-standard user registration and a confusing UX. We are impressed by the frequency of feature updates and communication about these, and the ability to suggest and vote on features. - IT Manager1B-10B USDEnergy and UtilitiesReview Source
Support And Service Praised While Reporting Functionality Raises Concerns
There has always been a good relationship with LeanIX, with regular meetings with a Customer Success Manager to help us to get the best from the tool without it being a hard sell on other modules or products to increase revenue. The release cycle is frequent, with new capabilities being released on a weekly basis - sometimes significant, sometimes minor UX tweaks. Support has always been excellent, with responses to support tickets often being within the hour, even with lower priority issues. The product itself is still maturing, with reporting capabilities in particular being limited. Whilst this is improving, we still find the need to export data to use another reporting solution to get much of the intelligence that we want from the data. - IT ManagerGov't/PS/EdEducationReview Source
Great EA management product from an innovative company
We purchased a subscription to LeanIX after extensive research and trialling a number of competing EA tools in the market. We have been really pleased with our investment and encouraged by how fast the product is being developed, a key advantage being the cloud native architecture on which it is built. The onboarding and customer support has been excellent, helping ensure we make the most of the product's capabilities. - IT Associate1B-10B USDRetailReview Source
