Looker studios biggest strength is how reports can be automated. It can be instructed to update metrics at regular intervals populating reports without any input from the user once set up is complete. I also love the range of options for displaying the data, pie charts, graphs and tables are available in a range of colours to help match your companies brand. One useful aspect is that is can be connected to a wide range of sources from Google Ads, Analytics, or Google Sheets to Google Search console.
1. Customisable to create reports and dashboards 2. Easy to connect with different data sources. 3. You get clear insights from the data.
It can be challenging to understand for new users, price can be expensive for smaller organizations, handling extremely large datasets can slow down performance
Google Lookers biggest draw back is how tricky it is the learn. Everything from connecting data sources to setting report dates is fiddly and easy to get wrong resulting in errors. There is also significant lag when using dashboards, with detailed reports taking a long time to fully load. There are limitations to the number of components per page, which can be annoying for a more complex report. Some of the limits are quite small, like only allowing 3 pivot tables per page.
1. Hard to learn for new users. 2. Platform feels slow while working with a huge database. 3. Expensive for small business
