Our experience with Maximo has been truly eye-opening. The software has introduced us to a wide range of features we currently don't have a system to support, so as we continue to work with Maximo we expect to gain even more valuable insights into ou team's and equipment's performance. Something else our engineering department has been looking for is the reliability and traceability aspects, especially when it comes to asset information.
It is used worldwide and allows for costomization.
Standout features include many options for configurability, ease of integrations, and a user-friendly interface. IBM has put a large focus on analytics to provide actionable information from the data captured.
At this stage, we haven't used the system long enough to identify any real weaknesses or issues. The only minor inconvenience is that the software is really robust, which is not a bad thing whatsoever, but the learning curve can be somewhat long.
The administration is complex, it requires a specialist. And nothing is intuitive for a new user.
To get all of the benefits, industry solutions or add-ons (additional license application points) may be needed.
