Overall, I really like how MaintainX brings teams together to work as a cohesive unit. Work orders and procedures can tap multiple resources when needed automatically with very little oversight which brings efficiency to processes that could otherwise prove taxing and challenging.

“MaintainX Offers Intuitive Interface, But Software And Support Waits Raise Concerns”

The functionality of the products and services MaintainX provides is sound, but not perfect. It's software needs to work better to provide data to its customers. I also feel its customer service chat system could use some improving. The response times on the chat services are a bit too long for my interest. To put a value I would estimate my wait time on "human" responses to my various inquiries is in the hours range rather than the minutes range that I would like to see. Furthermore, the response times on requested updates to the software are not manifested in the software in a timely manner. Simple edits to a software should be completed in days or weeks rather than the months or years I have experienced with this software.

    The staff are great, they are highly responsive and nearly always resolve the issue the day it is reported. The Platform is constantly growing, they are adding more functionality and streamlining processes.

    We are fairly new into our MaintainX experience with roughly 6 months of usage, but everything so far has been great. The vast number of new capabilities was a bit of a learning curve in comparison to our old system, but this truly allowed us to setup a system we can grow with.

Like

I appreciate MaintainX for its capacity for customization. I can easily create or change work orders and procedures to meet the needs of the business. I really appreciate the fact that I can change how the procedure flows based on the technicians' answers. This gives consistent and repeatable direction to the technician. MaintainX brings new employees up to speed quickly. The ability to include pictures with fields bridges gaps in employee knowledge and makes the inspections more efficient without additional oversight.

I like the intuitive dashboard and interface of MaintainX. I spend a lot of time building in the software and find the framework of each category to be quick and easy.

Like

The calendar view - Being able to edit and assign work in a calendar (Drag and drop) is great, saves a lot of time, and lets me see what is on each individual's plate each day. This also lets me check our overall work load. Easy process for requestors. Everyone loves using the quick and simple request portal. They can easily filter and find old requests, and see what is progressing and what is not. Integrated barcode/QR code scanner. This really streamlines requests, PMs, and repairs. Helps technicians report their time, materials, and the health of the equipment fast and accurately.

Dislike

I find that moving a field from one position to another within a procedure is quite tiresome, and not always successful. This process involves grabbing the field and dragging it up or down to its desired position and releasing the mouse button. This practice is successful only about half of the time and can be frustrating when you've dragged it past 25 fields. An unsuccessful attempt returns the field back to its original location, where a user must try the movement again.

I dislike the mobile app. I feel like the PO section could be improved upon to allow for better functionality.

Locations only have 2 levels of heirarchy. We have multiple sites, with multiple buildings, floors, etc. Being able to break down locations more would be helpful. Or having additional classifications, a sublocation classification would be another approach. No cascading work orders/ or project set up. For example, if we need to modify a space and there are multiple trades involved, it would be nice to set up the project, so that work orders show in the technicians list, when prerequisite steps have been completed. Only one level of free user (requestor). We would love to see a requestor admin level, they can see requests but can't submit new ones.
