Menlo RBI does have a niche position in Cloud SGW market; steer toward isolation for enterprise where our aim control is at; hence it does provide us a protection layer on web native and web over email browsing traffic for our users.

Menlo's browser isolation was easy to configure and deploy. Category settings make it easy to exclude personal privacy sites like banking, medical, and other trusted sites. The browser isolation product is transparent to the user, which is helpful for user adoption. There is no change to user interaction or look and feel. The only exception is an option for a Menlo icon to show if users are in isolation. I chose to use that feature to promote confidence that banking and medical sites are not going through the site and to show that users are being protected on other riskier sites. We did have issues with access to some sites, mostly IT type tools, but exceptions were very easy to add and only took minutes. Minimal issues/exceptions needed for general users.

Overall the experience with Menlo Security was great, from the initial conversations and PoC, up to the implementation. After testing the top vendors in this sector, their solution performance and capabilities were the key differentiators. The ability to use multiple implementation methods was also key, they support proxy chaining or PAC files. The detection ratios for their threat prevention technologies provided great results during benchmark testing.
