Cisco Meraki MX appliances Likes & Dislikes
Using the Meraki dashboard is truly easy to use, and their hardware for the most part is reliable. I've used over 30 Meraki devices and only had to RMA once. Their customer service, while sometimes better than others, is generally very good.
Read Full ReviewThe ease of management helps from both an expansion and monitoring standpoint. We are quickly able to deploy assets and then immediately be able to monitor them through the Meraki Portal
Read Full ReviewI've had issues with wireless performance with my Meraki devices. It's not abysmal, but it's been hard to get it fine tuned to exactly what is needed. Each location using Meraki wireless for me seems to need its own unique configuration with the biggest difference between each location being the physical space itself. This is my biggest pain point with Meraki. Additionally, needing an Advanced Security License for more robust security features is a bit aggravating.
Read Full ReviewNothing works as advertised, EVERYTHING requires a call to support where you are treated with 0 sense of urgency. Every answer is to upgrade to the latest feature release, and when that doesn't work, downgrade to the latest stable release. When that doesn't work you sit on your hands questioning why you have Meraki products.
Read Full ReviewOne of the draw backs would be the lack of true zero touch provisioning with the MX appliances. Though very little needs to be preconfigured it would be great if it was truly zero touch straight out of the box

Meraki Dashboard Simplifies Network Management But Lacks Advanced Configuration Options
Cisco Meraki network devices are quick to configure and easy to manage. The dashboard itself is nice and I find it beneficial to have insight into all of my networks with aggregated and individual statistics. The dashboard is very user friendly, clean, and easy to navigate. Setting up a network or making changes is a breeze. The robust alerting options ensure I'm always up to date with what's going on within my network without having to login to the dashboard too often. I think Meraki is an excellent option for smaller to small-medium sized organizations or sites. However, the downside of such a simple to use platform is that it's lacking in more advanced features. - IT SECURITY & RISK MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATE<50M USDServices (non-Government)Review Source

Meraki: A Pioneer in Single Pane Management Systems
Conversion of our entire remote location environment to Meraki was a great decision. Some of the primary drivers for us was the want for a "single pane of glass" management solution along with the ability to implement native SD-WAN, which Meraki was able to help faciliate both - IT MANAGER<50M USDTransportationReview Source
