Despite the limitations of the secure messaging part of MyChart, this is still a really useful tool for tracking my healthcare information. It's been good to be able to see laboratory results, appointment summaries, and medication history.

MyChart Likes & Dislikes

With MyChart, I can view my medical records and lab results online. Being able to look at test results and doctor's notes any time and any place is a major benefit because it provided me with the ability to take a more pro active stance in keeping track of my health.

MyChart gives me more of a hand in my healthcare. Scheduling appointments, reviewing lab results and refilling prescriptions online. This is a very good way for all my health information to be in one place.

patient friendly portal not all test results released to patient especially the sensitive ones

Sometimes it takes longer to send a secure message to my docs than it does to make a normal phone call. The platform lacks features such as real time chat or video consultations, therefore restricting its usefulness for real intimate care to its patients.

Lab results from independent facilities can take days to register, making it a very frustrating wait for important health data. In other words, this means that I can not have an integration of having a unified picture of my health in real time.

Not for people who aren't tech savvy.
