The eDOCS product is truly a database solution and an enterprise back-bone to build AI-solutions upon. Still after so many years there is no product that has this Enterprise scope where you can find documents regardless if people left 10 or 15 years ago or the document was created in Tunisia or Sweden.

eDOCS's inquiry usefulness fails to impress anyone. Finding explicit records can be a dreary interaction, particularly while managing complex legitimate phrasing.

I do not like how Open Text has reduced the teams they had in the past with less knowledgeable engineers. They have let go a large number of engineers that have been at the company for ages and now we are down to about 3 engineers and you much go through a labrynth of off shore support engineers that often don't have any idea what is going on.

The product is depending on the quality of network, databases etc and the user should have more information about the quality of the underlaying infra structure. Now you can falsely think that it is an eDOCS tech problem, when it is a network or database problem. The standardinterface should be more simple, there should be an interface where you only have a google- search function. The product is market as a document management system and people therefore think it's a kind of sharepoint solutions. But it's much, much more and with it's true database orientation it's a Company ERP system but for documents.
