We have deployed Cisco NSO in our Service Provider Network. Cisco NSO has helped us in automating our daily network operations. Thanks to Cisco NSO the number of outage and network failure due to users misconfiguration has decreased significally because we only need to provide NSO with the inputs and he can take charge of creating the appropriate configuration across different devices. Also the Time To Market of service delivery has been optimised since we don't need to connect to several devices and insert the appropriate configuration each time. One of the main points of strength of Cisco NSO is that this solution is multi vendor and can manage a variety of devices of different vendors. This reduce the depenses and the time spent to train our staff. Aside of automating devices configuration, Cisco NSO can orchestrate the lifecycle of the service instances that was created and this can make us gain a lot of time and complexity if we need to change an attribute or a specific configuration. We have also experienced some issues and drawbacks using Cisco NSO. When deploying Cisco NSO in a brownfield network (Network that is already configured) there is no Framework or specific parts in the solution that help us to discover and reconcile the existing service instances. Besides, when dealing with a network that have another automation tool or where frequent configuration changes are made out of NSO we always face out-of-sync devices configuration problem and there is no way to automatically sync the devices when such change is made.Read all insights and reviews for Cisco Crosswork Network Services Orchestrator
