Opcenter Execution Likes & Dislikes
User friendly, different reports and screens for different user stories.
The underlying capabilities of the software is robust and stable, but it is a platform that requires extensive resources to truly understand and leverage which may limit effective and efficient use. Targeted use as a behind the scenes engine with customized internal interfaces appears to have turned into the best success formula for our deployments.
The outstanding teams: sales, support, product development. They are responsive and listen to user feedback.
Expensive with ongoing licence fees.
Bugs and 'not intuitive' logic in the product, which necessitate a lot of back and forth to fully solved with the vendor. In semiconductor industry use, requires many customizations which in turn result in upgrade challenges.
Licenses for Development and QA environments are separate and not unlimited like in the past. Issues that require escalation to level 2 can sometimes take a while. Documentation could be clearer.
