Historian is a strong product. The import and export feature is very helpful for bulk tag manipulation. We have tried other Historian options and have found that GE Historian is really a quality Historian.

Data collecting is automatic , certain elements can be easy to set up within the system, it's a brilliant tool to analyze data sets from all over the department

Proficy smart factory should invest in better reporting and dashboarding capabilities, especially increase offering for out of the box reports. Ops Hub as a visualization and UX layer should be expanded to accommodate better user experience.

The product is difficult to configure. Configuration requires a full time associate with MES experience to manage, monitor and troubleshoot for configuration of new lines/ systems.

Systems can be difficult to set up - configuration and training of operators is key. we struggle with amending set points as the process can take a while

Integration is robust, connection with historian is a great way we troubleshoot issues, its user friendly interface , my team use it to stop and start production schedules - it's basically a live KPI which is imperitive to the sites results

This system is very interactive, easy to understand and focused on the operation. I would classify it as fit-to-purpose, as it has all the tools that we need to build the processes of your manufacturing steps. Also, this system brings a new vision for data analysis of the factory. With all the integrations and the tools that Proficy has, we can have a better understanding based on all the data and develop ideas to improve our operation.
