Plex Smart Manufacturing Platform Likes & Dislikes
The UX system is clean and easy to navigate. Their support team is excellent! And the reporting system is great as well. There are many different ways to create your report, but I personally like to use the SQL development environment and Intelliplex.
Read Full ReviewUX is modern looking, that's about all the positive I can say about it. It's cloud based so you don't have to host the software yourself.
Read Full ReviewIt is easy to use and a very good tool to utilize when having to meet 3rd party audit requirements.
Read Full ReviewThe documentation can be a pain to sort through. Would be nice if there was one large PDF manual with all of the documentation pages combined. The API is a bit lackluster and would be really great if they added more. As it stands now, in UX you cannot see the SQL code that is behind most of the pages in Plex. As I understand it, this was something you could do in Plex Classic. It would be extremely helpful for us if this was added to UX.
Read Full ReviewRockwell Automation incorrectly reports its downtime. They do not consider things like not being able to login or process any production as downtime. If even one small portion of the system works, it is not considered downtime. Even if your entire site can't be reached because of a server issue on Plex's end, it won't be reported as downtime as long as a single customer across the country is still able to login.
Read Full Review1. We were tasked with having to handle generating our own security role system and training our employees to transition from using Classic Plex to UX Plex. This has still not been completed! 2. Keeping the same representation of support personnel from Plex assigned to our site. 3. The support services are slow to complete a request often times leaving us to rely on a voting system of fellow customers to vote up or down what potential fixes will be done first.

Downtime Reporting Criteria Raise Concerns Over Accuracy Of Service Availability Claims
Multiple instances of requesting repayment after downtime extending past contractual obligations were denied because Plex refused to update their status page. Simply take a look at any of the "Known Issues" under the Plex Community. There will almost always be comments from customers stating that the downtime was MUCH longer than reported by Plex. Root causes are continually promised and never delivered. If we are lucky enough to get a Root Cause Analysis after a critical outage, it will not be more than 2 or 3 sentences. Go look for yourself if you're unsure. Many critical features are simply broken in the new 'Plex UX' version of this software. There are features in Plex Classic that are now broken and will not work in either version of the software - Features that have already been deeply integrated into processes and procedures. Plex Support is the slowest I have ever seen personally. I currently have a case that has been open for 1,183 days. You're reading that right, nearly 3 years. - IT Help Desk Technician50M-1B USDManufacturingReview Source
Navigation and Scaling Noted as Strengths While Feature Transition Remains Incomplete
Occasional issues across the board but are usually resolved quickly within half an hour for intermittent issues, for bigger outages it's been down for longer but not long enough to completely mess up manufacturing. I have also heard from users that the shipping features in Plex Classic the shipping features are good, however not all the features have been moved over to PlexUX. - IT Associate50M-1B USDManufacturingReview Source
Support Team Responsiveness and Reporting Features Stand Out in Plex ERP System
Plex has been a great ERP system overall, but their support team is where they really shine, and they have been a pleasure to deal with. They are usually quick to answer our questions and if they can't, they will escalate it to their dev team. - Engineer50M-1B USDManufacturingReview Source
Tool Aids Audit Compliance but Faces Issues with Support and Transition Training
Very good product but the turn around time of receiving solutions to issues is very slow. - Associate<50M USDSoftwareReview Source
