Preconfigured best practices accelerate setup but require strong data quality

Preconfigured Best Practices Oracle Supply Planning comes with industry best practices built into the system out of the box. We were able to leverage these preconfigured planning rules, parameters, and workflows as a strong starting point, reducing the time and cost of building everything from scratch. Cloud-Based Deployment Simplicity Being a cloud-native solution, Oracle Supply Planning eliminates much of the traditional infrastructure complexity. There is no heavy on-premises hardware setup, and updates are managed by Oracle - reducing the IT burden during and after implementation. Continuous Improvement Oracle's regular quarterly cloud updates mean the system continues to improve after go-live. Visibility Oracle's product roadmap early on helped us plan for future enhancements.

Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain Planning Likes & Dislikes

Like

Constraint-Based Planning Oracle supports constraint-based planning that simultaneously considers capacity, material availability, lead times, and business priorities when generating plans. This means planners receive feasible, executable plans rather than unconstrained recommendations that require extensive manual adjustment - saving significant time and reducing the risk of planning errors reaching the suppliers. Integrated End-to-End Planning Across the Entire Supply Chain Oracle operates as a unified platform that seamlessly connects demand planning, supply planning and inventory optimization within a single cloud environment. This tight integration with Oracle's broader SCM Cloud suite - including procurement and logistics - allows planners to see the full impact of decisions across the entire supply chain in real time. Scenario-based What-if Planning Oracle's scenario planning engine allows planners to model multiple what if situations simultaneously - demand volatility, capacity constraints, etc. Planners can compare scenarios side-by-side, evaluate trade-offs, and commit to the best plan with fill visibility into downstream consequences.

Dislike

The Supply Module is functionally restricted when it comes to creating policies to manage planning. The capability to mass upload data is either limited depending on the module you're working in, or it is not functionally operable for end-users to use (ie FBDI for the procurement module is too tedious).
