Propel PLM Likes & Dislikes
The software is fairly configurable, but you need to understand that Propel has their own roadmap, and sometimes your design conflicts with theirs.
The simplicity of doing things, and how everything is connected in one same platform.
1. Great team to work with all across the board (makes for a great customer experience). 2. Implementation went smoothly thanks to good experienced implementation personnel along with timely guidance on what to expect at each stage. 3. Flexible product, offers good integration opportunities with other non-salesforce products as well. 4. UX is good and continuously improving.
The product design is a black box and most of the road map is also unknown to users. Their release notes aren't available for subscription, you have to get them emailed to you or constantly scour their community site. There's an emphasis on bug fixing after an update, not beforehand. Also the releases align in name only to Salesforce major releases, but are also late most of the time.
It would be hard for me to describe, since they are very specific situations. Some customizations based on the business needs are not possible with the current code. Additionally, sometimes the website is VERY slow. The one that would bring more benefit is having the app validated. Since we are medical device we can't use the Propel app to review changes, but it would be a game changer is the app was validated and we could use it.
1. Admin experience can be cumbersome. 2. As new technologies, builds emerge there will be some teething issues.

Well supported over the long term, with some caveats based on business needs.
Support is quick to respond, and our AE has been a long term contact. Not like other teams, where the AE rolls off every 12months and barely connects. - Engineer50M-1B USDConsumer GoodsReview Source
Platform Simplicity Praised While Website Speed and App Validation Are Concerns
Ever since we implemented propel, we have had great support from the customer experience team. Not only they support with our issues, but also provide different solutions in timely manner. They also understand urgency when needed. - Sr. Quality Engineer50M-1B USDSoftwareReview Source
Propel - Propels your business forward!
Great team at Propel which makes the product and customer experience exceptional! The flexibility to create and administer processes on the fly has come a long way since the early days of Propel. Would definitely recommend Propel to anyone looking for a PLM solution. - Manager of Quality50M-1B USDManufacturingReview Source
It pays to go with Propel PLM
Overall, our experience with Propel is very good. Deployment of the product has been challenging to overcome some hurdles. Support staff is very helpful but documentation about self service functionality is lacking. Integration with other applications and systems is good. You will need to spend a wealthy amount of time understanding how to integrate with CRS, PIM, and ERP systems, but it's not overly complex. - VP of Engineering and Product Management<50M USDManufacturingReview Source
