ThingWorx does make use of some object oriented concepts, such as Thing Shapes, which do help, but scaling solutions can be difficult unless planned for during the proof of concept phase because the project layouts are often hidden behind native user interfaces, which is very useful for low-code users, but to get the most value out of the platform, development resources should be utilized anyways due to its complexity.
