It provides a stable and accurate platform for administering policies at a very competitive cost.
Affordable, scales well
The system is really easy to navigate and very user friendly. Also the system handles the policy administration for the entire life cycle as well as billing and commissions.
Tax reporting for some annuity accounts requires manual intervention.
No crm
The reporting and ability to gather data from the system for analysis is disappointing and would be extremely difficult for non IT personnel. Also, having to pay for post conversion modification that should already exist in the system. It seems some functionality was built in the system but not completely carried through the system.

Knowledgeable staff, short conversion timeframe, system lacking some functionality
The purchase experience and conversion project went excellent. The president of QLA is an actuary who is very knowledgeable in regard to the insurance industry and that was a great help. They were also more than willing to work with us on pricing so we could make this system happen. We have had to request some post conversion modifications related to some functions that one would think would already exist as we can't be the only customer with these issues. The post modifications can be expensive. Also, the reporting in the system is very limited and requires us to build a reporting system that was not expected. During conversion, the president of QLA was the leader from their side and it is clear he is the most knowledgeable person on staff for the system. His availability is limited now and post conversion issues are not being addressed timely.
