The 25/7 customer support is absolutely excellent and feels very personal, particularly for teams where infrastructure management is less understood. The enterprise focus around the service offering, SLA and security is excellent and helps achieve compliance and data security. Rackspace allows for a more tailored or bespoke approach to cloud management than dedicated public cloud hosting.

I learned a lot about RackSpace but I like how everything you own is managed from one central location.
The scaling options are not as seamless or automated as those in hyperscale public cloud vendors, so it is less suitable for dynamic or rapid growth workloads. The ecosystem or tools and services is also much smaller than that of hyperscale cloud providers, so integrations can be more challenging. The cost can also be higher than pure IaaS provisions from hyperscale providers, but is offset by the customer service and managed approach.

Rackspace Managed hosting good for the E-commerce websites
We prefer Rackspace for large organization only who has a large business client and their e-commerce website. Because Rackspace managed service and hosting services are costly. In my opinion, it is not for a small organization. Rackspace has wonderful service support. Their guys are very very technical in terms of hosting. They always help us when we stuck somewhere. From the dashboard, you can easily upgrade and downgrade the servers as per our need. Still the best out there for critical web hosting.
We've been with Rackspace and using their Cloud Hosting Services for almost 10 years now. Support was second to none. When you had an issue all you had to do is open a ticket and within an hour (or sooner) you received a response and a resolution shortly after. Since then the toicketing system response has slown down to 1 day or longer for a response and sometimes its questions from support rather than solutions. However, you can still pick up the phone and talk with support any time.
