For us, the pricing structure is the biggest win because, as a bootstrapped SaaS company, every single dollar of burn rate matters immensely to our survival; RemotePeople offers a flat-rate Employer of Record service that is significantly cheaper than the unicorn competitors, yet the quality of service hasn't suffered one bit and their support is personal.
The speed of execution is absolutely unmatched in this space, which is critical for us in the fast-paced fintech word where we cannot afford to wait weeks for compliance checks to clear.
Our CFO absolutely loves the predictability of their billing because it simplifies forecasting; there are no percentage-based fees that scale up when we give our employees raises, so the pricing is flat and fixed which makes them the most sustainable EOR partner for us.
The integration with Slack is currently a bit basic for our needs and could be much more robust for an async-first company; I would love to see more automated notifications pushed directly to our HR channels so we don't have to log in to the platform specifically to check for updates.
if i had to pick one area for improvement, i wish the expense management tool had a built-in optical character recognition(OCR) scanning feature for receipts to speed up the reimbursement process, as we currently have to manually input some data fields for travel expenses which slows down the approval process slightly.
The integration with Xero is generally good but it requires manual refreshing sometimes to pull the latest invoice data; an automatic nightly sync would be an improvement that would save our accountants a few minutes of checking every morning.
