Performance of SAP Extended Warehouse Management Across Market Features
SAP Extended Warehouse Management Likes & Dislikes
The product/ service I liked the most are: 1. The product is really easy to learn and work on for any beginners or newcomers. 2. It helps to create data categorically. For example, if I want to add data for one of the data warehouse data called logistics, I can create storage location1 as Spare parts, storage location2 as raw materials and storage location3 as finished goods. Then we have ranks given to warehouse and the divided them categorically and then create the bins. 3. There are lot more options given in the product under structure which helps us to choose according to our requirements. 4. The feature of cross-docking helps us to reduce storing time and costs as for example goods from inbound can move directly to outbound. 5. This warehouse management shows us real time visibility of data that are in warehouses.
I find that SAP is organized. SAP is also able to communicate with other platforms!
- Handles extreme complexity - Rich, out-of-the-box functionality for advanced processes - Deep SAP integration
Dislike about the product/service are: 1. Licensing and cost isn't efficient for mid-level or small companies. 2. Specialists and experts are needed to maintain the product 3. A storage location cannot be linked to more than one warehouse.
It is not user friendly for many. One task requires multiple steps.
- Steep Learning Curve - High total cost of ownership (licensing, implementation and internal resources)

SAP Warehouse Management Offers Easy Setup But Has Limitations for Small Businesses
The overall experience with SAP extended warehouse management has been good. This warehouse management helps us to create a warehouse where we can store all the huge data and can be used accordingly. If I take the example of logistics data, the use cases of this warehouse is to get real time visibility on goods, to assign workers through labor management, it has advanced traceability and majorly saves time. - SME10B+ USDHealthcare and BiotechReview Source
Robust and Scalable Solution for complex warehouse operations
We implemented SAP EWM (embedded on S/4HANA) two years ago to manage our complex, high volume manufacturing and distribution warehouse. While the implementation was rigorous and required deep expertise, the result has been a transformative increase in visibility, accuracy and efficiency in our supply chain. Unmatched deep integration with the SAP ecosystem. It is extremely scalable and capable of handling the most complex warehouse operations. Strong foundation for future innovation with embedded AI and ML capabilities in S/4HANA - TRAINER50M-1B USDManufacturingReview Source
SAP Enhances Efficiency but Presents Challenges For New or Infrequent Users
Generally i would say SAP is a good system - excellent for managing hand held devices on the machine floor, it improves efficiency drastically. The system can take some getting used to as the interface / dashboards can be over complicated. - MANAGER, SUPPLY CHAIN PROCESS & TECHNOLO1B-10B USDTransportationReview Source
