Facilitated integration of mater data between SAP S4HANA and IBP. Integration of the intire S&OP process (master data, portfolio review, demand review, supply review, financial review and use of intuitive charts for presentation to senior management). Ease of access and intuitive navigation, interaction with the tool without difficulties.
One area that still requires improvement is the clarity of functional boundaries between IBP and S/4. For certain usecases (e.g. Order Promise) the demarcation is not always sufficiently transparent, which can lead to complexity in design decisions and architecture alignment. In the early stage of our journey we also experienced performance challenges.
Unlike other software's it is really difficult to engage updated technologies in the business becomes dependent on SAP because of its limitations or low flexibility to new changes.
There was a shortage of qualified and prepared professionals to work with the tool. This demanded a greater investment in internal training and development, which umpacted the initial implementation shedule. When we train a professional, they are recruited by the market.
