Our overall experince with SAP EAM has been higly positive. The system serves as a robust, centralized platform that successfully integrates our asset registry with preventive maintenance work scheduling. It significantly improved our operational uptime and streamlined parts procurment. While the intial setup was complex, the long-term stability and deep cross-module integration with financial ledger and inventory make it an invaluable asset for our organization.

SAP ERP SAM is a very helpful and usable program but i feel that the inerface needs an update badly because it still looks like the windows 2000 or melenium edition, other than that it gets the job done pretty well.

As always, SAP is one of the best out there, very comprehensive, and spectacularly organized. There's not much more to say; I think we all know that SAP is always good and difficult to compare. The learning curve is a bit steep, but once you learn it, it's much more helpful.

Performance of SAP S/4HANA Across Market Features

SAP S/4HANA Likes & Dislikes

Like

1. Comprehensive preventive maintenance & scheduling. The automation of maintenance work orders based on time or counter based on time or counter readings has drastically reduced unplanned downtime 2. Deep integration with inventory management: Having real-time visibility into spare parts avalibility and automatic reordering via MRP saves hours of manual work. 3. Robust Asset Register and Analytics and reporting : The hierarchical structure of functional locations and equipment provides clear tracking of total cost of ownership (TCO) per asset.

Like

that it is simple and with even a little bit of computer knowledge anyone can learn a few important functions in a matter of hours, especially very easy to train new employess

Like

I like the scale and complexity usage of the SAP applications we utilize. Our org has over 1,000 servers connected with different customer and third-party systems. We have highly complex customizations and integrations across the business enterprise. Our Enterprise has experienced near-zero downtime with over 150 SAP applications in use

Dislike

1. Steep learning curve and complex ui: the user interface, especially for standard gui transactions, can be overwhelming for field technicans and requires extensive training. 2. High customization costs: modifying standard EAM workflows or creating custom reports often requires specialized ABAP developers, making any post - implementation changes expensive. 3. Complex initial configuration: Setting up the master data, hierarchical functional locations, and work-scheduling parameters is incredibly time-consuming and rigid if changes are needed later.

Dislike

1. that there are alot of symbols that are important features that i have to use everyday but the images are too small on the buttons. 2.cannot erase entries if you make a mistake, have to do it again from the start. 3. cannot fit enough rows in the entries like a07 or a08, can increase them only by scaling the resolution but then everything else becomes too small or distorted to read everywhere.

Dislike

Implementation and infrastructure costs are based on the fiscal budget to set aside for the additional expenses for upgrades and newer versions. The learning curve of the system can be difficult to navigate as an user when it comes to interface and system workflows, especially if customization is needed for business needs.
