Web UI. Still tweaking things regarding events, however security incidents are what they are.
Need to keep a close eye on ticket numbers when onboarding new tooling A relatively large amount of configuration knowledge is required by our company to feed & water the connectivity No service offering at time of writing to provide configuration management expertise
Not cloud ready SOC is merely a computer escalating alerts of varying quality Not customer focused
Deployment was a little rough but will get through it.

The big dinosaur trying to adapt
Secureworks is a well known vendor with a pedigree. We were not very satisfied with their service delivery, there were numerous problems with the delivery which were not addressed properly. It started with the sales process, where the sales team struggled to put in writing what they promised to do. In the end it was a very long process and we managed to get a customized contract which we were happy with. The problem was that the operation was not set-up for such a level of customization, hence they struggled to deliver from day 1. There are a few very good people in that organization, but they are over utilized and not very available. The other people seem more inclined to closing tickets and "band-aiding" whatever problem there may be, They are not customer centric at all. As a cloud first organisation we struggled with Secureworks' technical debt and manual processes for deploying log collectors and other technology. This was not at all compatible with our DevOps goal. Threat Intelligence is very focused on indicators and malware (i.e. operational), and they have little to offer on tactical and strategic TI. They are not able to provide proper responses to RFIs, so do not waste your money on TI hours with them. They have failed consistently to detect pen-tests, merely escalating what our own security technology may have picked up. We have now switched to a cloud ready provider and augmenting with specialist services for TI and other services. - Information Security Analyst<50M USDFinance (non-banking)Review Source
Outstanding SOC support
Rough deployment and integration with Carbon Black response, but otherwise great SOC response and local. Client portal is well designed and easy to use. - Information Security Analyst II50M-1B USDInsurance (except health)Review Source
Secureworks is helpful, but can overwhelm with false positive alerts
Secureworks managed security services has given us a way to help pinpoint investigations and understand where we need to focus our efforts and attention. Though some false positives do show up, as can be expected. Some of the false positives can sometimes be simple to detect though. This makes me wonder if Secureworks Managed Security is really managed. When you get alerts on malicious websites that quickly come back clean in your own research, you wonder if there have been any eyes on the alert before escalating it to the security team. - Associate Attorney50M-1B USDServices (non-Government)Review Source
