First, OMP Unison Planning is a top product. I fully endorse this rating level. The solution is flexible, scalable, and applicable across industries. Second, the OMP team has in-depth technical and technology mastery to serve any industry led by a strong group of industry experienced leaders. They focus on collaboration, the customer experience, and meeting your needs / expectations. Third, the solution and tools have outstanding analytics, AI integration, visualization, and ability to operate across the supply network vs. individual functional silos.
The UI could be improved. To get a full picture, our users still need to navigate through multiple screens, which slows down evaluation and at the end, decision-making; an interactive and intuitive planning context would help address this. Planning Leadership visibility is limited, there is a lack of a clear managerial view, at least so far... The tool is heavily planner-focused, but leaders need clear, high-level insights to communicate and align the company effectively. Dashboards help, but they do not fully address this need. Training programs may not be the most cost-effective option. While they worked on the initial project phase, as our implementation and go-live progress, more practical, scenario-based sessions with the team would be highly beneficial. In the implementation phase, the current solution execution time has been longer than our previous solution.
High Dependency on OMP Effort for development, f.e. Lack of Flexibility on Conflicts. Throughput time for solution development. Dependency on (periodic) ML model training. Demand Sensing is not yet modularly configurable. Architecture shows some limitations, expected to be solved in upcoming development upgrades.
1. OMP Unison platform is feature-rich, which can sometimes make navigation a bit more involved than ideal. 2. OMP's solvers are quite powerful, though loading profiles and solutions can occasionally experience latency. 3. Integration Across Other Systems: We are challenged with a legacy ERP and legacy CRM platforms which require extra integration effort.
