this is a complete data management syatem for an organization. it can be cumbersome to use and is not verybuser friendly. i was happy when we moved away from it.

Windchill allows us to have a overview of a product historic (what, when, who ...)

it held all of our documents and data.

No. 1 is that it keeps track of all changes and revisions to any document and who made those changes. 2nd that we can easily check previous revisions and identify what changed and why. 3rd is the fact all documents related to one product can be linked to it so it is easy to navigate and find exactly what you need without knowing exact document numbers or names.

it could take some time to be fully operative using Windchill

not very user friendly and a steep learning curve compared to other PLM systems.

I dislike that sometimes the screen can be convoluted and too full which makes scanning for information tougher. There is a slight learning curve to learn the shortcuts, tutorials on the site would be good. Can't think of a 3rd!

It is a very easy to use system, with very intuitive controls to find the documents needed and keep track of them. Extremely useful for making sure all records and changes are tracked completely and all documents are auditable.
