Windows 365 Likes & Dislikes
My experience with WIndows 365 has been really positive. It has allowed me to access, collaborate, and share lesson plans, student data, and educational tools with others from anywhere an internet connection is available. It also has everything I need to get my classroom set up including all my data to be able to complete grades as well as IEPs. This is invaluable for remote teaching and grading on the go. The interface is user-friendly, and the security features give peace of mind when handling confidential student information. However, I want to stress that a reliable internet connection is essential for a good experience. Windows 365 has helped me keep my information organized and updated since becoming an online educator.
- Ease of Deployment / Configuration - Microsoft support for 1st party products / services like M365 Apps - Support for thin client solution with upcoming Link box
The aspects I like most about the Windows 365 solution are the ability to access your desktop regardless of the hardware used; it also allows you to always have your documents available in a secure environment. Another advantage is the ability to have a constant backup of your workstation so you can recover almost instantly.
A few of the issues: -dependence on internet connectivity - Cost of long-term use, -limited offline functionality. The subscription-based service is expensive, especially for teachers who want all the services that are provided unless your school provides the service.
- Cost is extremely prohibitive for companies looking to save money. Deploying physical hardware is still significantly cheaper, and the outcome would also be far more powerful devices than what is provided by W365 SKUs - Microsoft continues to create confusion in the market by creating both the W365 SKUs, and AVD pools. Both solutions have a different use case, and seem to offer different feature sets. Thin Client hardware is not interop capable.
Unfortunately, the licensing component is still far from what a company can afford to purchase a workstation; if licensing costs were reduced, it could be an ideal solution in certain scenarios.

Access Desktop Anywhere with Windows 365, Though Licensing Remains Costly
The Windows 365 solution is particularly innovative, allowing users to access their workstations from anywhere; it allows users to always be productive. Unfortunately, licensing costs are not as competitive when compared to other VDI solutions or when compared to physical devices (obviously including any additional management costs for HW). - CYBER SECURITY ASSISTANT50M-1B USDIT ServicesReview Source
