I like the capability to see historical versions of proofs, especially when the design team needs to take into account various pieces of feedback, leading to multiple proofs. It is way more efficient than sending PDFs back and forth and marking up comments on them. I would highly recommend this type of proofing software for marketers and their creative teams to streamline the creative review process.
The integration with the Adobe ecosystem is good. Some advanced issue and project-tracking features are useful additions.
Ability to mark up proofs to gather feedback and approvals in addition to robust reporting capabilities.
It can be difficult to navigate within projects when the designers create multiple folders with proofs.
Workfront is unresponsive and clunky, with various and inconsistent UI bugs making it difficult to find comments, markups and responses consistently on pages, which are sometimes very high file size PDFs - this file size further compounds lag on a single document making it almost impossible to work on the slow files. Incompatibilities across different versions of Adobe apps is also a nightmare for collaborative working. In the end, it was always more efficient to write an email summary of comments/changes/issues to the documents sent than to use Workfront. Having it all summarised in one page is so much more efficient.
Because of the robust capabilities of this product, it can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming. Things like automation can be complicated and take a good bit of knowledge to properly set up. Also, it is one of the more expensive options out there.
