MWE is creating a more visual way to see your installed hardware and manage them from a front end screen. There are many standard offerings within MWE that were required to be customized within VSS
The build quality and reliability of the Wherelan sensors, Whereports, and tags are really great. I can only think of one instance where a sensor actually died, and that was due to a confirmed lightning strike. I've seen Whereports that have been deployed outdoors for more than decade just keep trucking on. Second is the resiliency of the system itself. It always surprises me how many sensors we can actually have down/offline and still get usable location accuracy.

Product: MWE seems to be in what we would describe as early stages. Many bug fixes and user complaints that have driven us to required hotfixes to be applied to MWE installation. ATR devices require multiple softwares and on-site VM offerings to be able to run the process. In a large, complex, secure and lean mindset company, this is what we would define as risk and waste. Our MWE, CLAS installations have been unstable (multiple outages each this year) due to known issues that we were not made aware of until they happened. Support: Often times the support model is very hard to follow and knowing who the experts are for individual offerings is very vague. We have had great experience with the engineering teams but once we require help from other teams or certain product related support, the criticality and understanding of engagement seems to drop off. Sometimes we are not sure whether our tickets being entered are ending up in the right folks queues to support. We have been functioning through email for a long time to address concerns, issues, open requirements.
I'm overall very positive on the products, but I think a weaker area are the tools used to program the devices. The Wherewand handheld used to provision new tags and program Whereports in particular is pretty old-school and can definitely be finicky.
