There is eough promptness in the customer support response. I like that. Likewise, we discovered it's one of the easiest planning and tracking tool.
Once instructed on how to use the tool it is easy to use. UI is clear, navigation for user relatively simple. It is a good technical tool.
There are 2 things i liked the most. First one is that there is a big variety of charts and reports from which you can create your own format for your project type and work style. It is very flexible and creating such reports doesnt take too much time.. Dashboards are also very customizable in direction of project needs. Second one is that there are different workflows for different types of projects and programs so you are not stuck with the same workflow, deliverable type or same gates.
For us, it's a satisfactory performance that it has offered. No dislikes.
We tried to use the Sopheon consultancy services for deployment but this turned out to be a waste of time and money in our case. In our experience Sopheon is good in building software and helping you use it. We were disappointed in their help on improving our actual stage gate and portfolio management work processes. We use their software and technical advice on how to confure our processes in it but do design and modification of workprocesses and deployment by ourselves. The software is expensive and during procurement we were faced with irritating focus on selling more and more licences and consultancy hours.
When there is a real amout of data of product specifications or price or sales informations system slows down and sometimes doesnt open the desired screen or doesnt calculate the operation you want

Great for coordinating projects and keeping track of the outcomes
This tool provides a very good example of project management and process tracking for companies. For the projects where there are too many people in the team from very different departments it is very difficult for the project manager to keep inline the project, the deliverables and deadlines. This tool helps a lot to the project managers because you can see all at once all the deliverables, team members, deadlines, gate meeting notes so far and so forth. Especially for the stage and gate project management type it is very convenient interface. Sopheon Accolade is a program for project management which works really well. This program helps their users to tracking all project management processes. Implementation was relatively stright forward. Change management is the real challenge.
Overall the Sopheon team has been very easy to work with and very accommodating. What has worked well is having a dedicated team of both internal and Sopheon resources utilizing a bi-weekly sprint process to build out the configuration. What has been more challenging is putting in place a more centralized process as part of the implementation. In addition, we have had some challenges with a fairly stringent testing process that requires configuration changes to be promoted across multiple environments and documented thoroughly.
