User friendly. Unlimited storage. Syncs with other programs both in and out feeds.
There is not much to like about it. So far, we have not experienced outages which is a plus. The onboarding was great. I don't have a third.
This product makes finding assets much faster than our previous piecemeal system of different drives and folders. I have even found assets I didn't even realize existed because the search process is so quick. We were able to customize our fields so that we have a standard set of highly specific terms that accompany our assets. For cases like searching for students in a specific degree program or student organization, it has been a gamechanger. With our DAM, we are now able to keep all captions and documentation together with our images, which has solved many of our issues identifying photo subjects and making sure we have subjects' permissions for their image to be used.
Can be limited on performance metrics
Inability to customize. New updates take away capabilities we need. The workflow and template systems are useless.
I do not like that non-global collections are not collaborative. It is frustrating that only the creator of a non-global collection can edit it. I also find the advanced search pretty clunky and difficult to use unless you are already an expert in the system.

My team did not have a digital asset management system before working with Acquia (Widen). Since implementing our DAM, we can find assets much more efficiently, and discover assets we might have otherwise forgotten. Potential to be good, not great. But far from it.
Our onboarding experience was top notch - the process and service itself. However, there were way too many surprises on limitations of the system that seem common sense for a system made to be a digital asset management system, workflow management system, and template building system. They've daisy chained multiple systems together that don't actually talk to each other and it's quite silly that you would go to a provider to be your "all-in-one" only to find the only simplicity provided is one invoice. We can't get any communication from our Account Manager and we're stuck under contract.
