What I like most about ADOIT is its ease of use combined with its strong methodological support. The intuitive and user-friendly design allows researchers and project partners with different background to be productive without losing time, which is crucial in projects with heterogeneous partners. In our projects, ADOIT is often used collaboratively by academix and industrial partners, Thanks to its usability, many questions and methodological issues can be clarified within the consortium itself, without requiring extensive tool-specific support. This facilitates knowledge sharing and joint work with an accessible Enterprise Architecture platform.
The pure architecture support is very good. The general work / process is limited.
Service: BOC adopts a team-based approach, which makes their service offering unique. From acquisition to implementation and workshops, we worked with different domain experts and they were all well connected. It goes without saying that team members are highly-skilled both in terms of technical and conceptual aspects. Product: The tool is scalable (basically at no cost!). One example: if you want to model a certain aspect of the architecture, and start small, you can go ahead and limit the number of features and meta-model elements. This may make sense if your organization is not yet knowledgeable about the tool yet. After reaching a certain maturity, you can just activate further features in the tool. Another very important aspect is the support for the ArchiMate standard. There are various tools on the market that already offer this feature, but none of them are as easy to use and understand as ADOIT.
In the past, I was looking for an out-of-the-box integrations to learning platforms such as Moodle available. Nowadays as a researcher with full access, I do not see any limitations.
workflow issues seem to pop up: - sharing a link between different licenses is not possible (RW users cannot generate a shared link for RO users) -reporting on transitive relationships is harder than it needs to be -workspaces workflow is not OK for filling out with multiple people is parallel. Only the last update wins (TIME values) -automations for creating models are not an option as the API doesn't allow for it -check in check out is not usable for large groups.
Most limitations from previous versions (e.g. desktop-based administrative toolkit, collaboration possibilities, roadmapping) are all enhanced in the new version (17.0).

ADOIT has proven to be a valuable tool for reaching Enterprise Architecture. My journey with ADOIT began as a student, where the tool was used in a university course. Later I transitioned to teaching a similar course as a lecturer, and in the coming year, I will be leading the course for the fourth time. ADOit Modeling Tool Supports Large-Scale Academic Use Without Technical Issues
I highly appreciate the ADOit modeling tool. It is very useful for the course I teach on IT governance for postgraduate students. The product provides in-depth expertise in the areas of enterprise architecture management and modeling. It's very intuitive and user friendly. Working in the cloud is very useful because students can work not only in the classroom but also from their homes. The vendor (BOC) is ready to answer any questions and help with providing support. The product is kept up to date with new industry news and best practices. This semester, I had the opportunity to use this platform with a larger number of students (over 100). It worked smoothly, with no lags or technical issues.
