1. The best feature is the dynamic results, that are achievable via the various source systems. 2. The ingestion systems, with some exceptions, are the most advanced in my experience. The progress on the data ingestion feom Discovery has been tremendous. 3. Broad and flexible automation options look very promising.
- the amount and the coverage of the Discovery patterns is great - getting new updates always works very well - day-to-day ops of the product are very smooth - great overall performance
Installation and configuration are straightforward. Education is excellent with large amounts of topics for a variety of levels. GUI is comprehensive and allows management of almost all features without resorting to command lines etc. Monthly and quartet updates can be applied simply via interface and due to the offline nature do not impact data discovery. Outpost servers remove complex network management and requirements to discover remote installations, for example third parties
1. The exception referenced above is the intelligent integrations component. There are issues that give concern for larger data loaus and give pause when considering long term operational requirements. 2. RBAC for the product is challenging to implement given gaps between documented roles and actual real world permissions. 3. The discovery connector, although much improved, still has some limitations that are concerning. Progress thus far on this front indicates that improvements are heading in the right direction.
- its very difficult to name something - creating custom reports was not very easy - debugging custom patterns was quite difficult
The tool can be complex and without guidance difficult to navigate beyond the basics. Duplicates some features of Remedy CMDB Drive management needs improving to allow disks to be resized from GUI rather than command line

Good Product but there is room to improve the support
My experience with Helix Observability is very good, in general terms, however recently, we noticed that the support team has not the same quality that previously they had. They took a lot of time solving problems and implementing the solution.
