“Advantages in function integration but challenges when loading rubrics and configurations”

4.0
May 6, 2026
Overall, the experience has been good. I used it as a student and now as a teacher to post announcements, assignments, and files. I like that it allows me to organize class content, set deadlines, and grade assignments all on the same platform. However, my experience uploading rubrics to the platform hasn't been very good. It's a bit confusing, not very intuitive, and takes a long time to enter all the criteria, especially when grading performance levels.

CRITICAL

“Course content management is efficient, but quiz transfer remains frustrating”

3.0
May 28, 2026
I have had a generally positive experience with Canvas, although some support issues tend to take way too long to address. Canvas is great for course content management. It is easy to set up as a teacher and most content transfers from year to year. The discussion feature is also great for student collaboration.

Canvas LMS Streamlines Course Organization But Customization Remains Limited

    4.0
    Aug 6, 2025
My overall experience with Canvas LMS has been good. It provides a strong platform for organizing courses, sharing materials and keeping students on track. Most users find it easy to learn and use, which helps reduce support issues but there are a few areas that could be improved like more flexibility in certain features. It still does a great job supporting teaching and learning and it also helps us create a smoother more connected learning experience for everyone.

Like

The ability to upload all course content to one central place is huge. It saves so much time, especially at the start of each semester. Students are able to always have access to their assignments. Being able to group content into modules is very helpful for creating a course structure that flows well. The variety of assignments is also beneficial as teachers can utilize assignments that keep students engaged.

Like

Integration capability into Janzabar Easy admin administration for classes and students Easy user interface for both staff and students to understand

Dislike

1. It can sometimes be unintuitive, especially when trying to configure settings for importing or exporting class content. 2. I don't like how rubrics have to be uploaded to the platform, especially because you have to write them box by box. 3. I don't like that if I have to grade a document, I have to provide feedback on the entire document instead of by section.

Dislike

The biggest issue I experienced was the quiz feature not transferring properly between school years. The quiz would transfer without questions and I would have to individually add each question to its own question bank. It was a recurring problem that took nearly three years to fix. Gradebook organization can also be somewhat unintuitive as it doesn't seem to follow a chronological order.

Dislike

Limited scalability for large class sizes due to not being able to subgroup students Increasing paywall features Not able to export some data to APIs
