The BE7K is a feature rich system that includes easy to use phones and easy to administor with the url access for Call Manager, Unity Connect, and Unified Contact Center Express. In addition the staff love the new easy to use model 7841 phones, which the feature are user friendly.

1. Updates applied to systems seem to introduce other problems instead of fixing the intended issue(s). I am hesitant to perform ecommended firmware/IOS updates because of this. We updated the firmware on our UCS server awhile back to help resolve SNMP monitiring funcaitonality issues that made the issue worse, not better. 2. There is a known linux bug on our IRS431 router that causes it to crash. In addition, part of the configuration is normally missing when it comes back on-line. These types of experiences have made it challenging to our staff in that office.

    Implementation was successful overall, but had a hardware failuer that caused an outage

    We experienced hardware problems on our UCS server shortly after implementation that caused an outage during business hours. The cause was a defective fan assembly that allowed the server to reach a high tempurature. The server shut down for over heat prevention. The initial replacement fan assembly was the incorrect part so we had to order another unit and reschedule the maintenance window for the following evening.
