My experience with Cisco network swiches has been highly positive due to their rock solid hardware reliability and durability. The hardware excels at maintaining high uptime, providing robust access security, and handling dense enterprise traffic smoothly. What has not worked well is the complexity of the newer software licensing models and occasional minor status-caching bugs in specific IOS-XE releases. However, for core stability and network performance, it remains our preferred choice.

It's a product that has worked well from day one and we are generally happy with the solution.

Extreme provides very stable and long lasting Network Switches and Wifi Access Points. They have a very rich featureset and can adopt to any given circumstances.

We have been using FortiSwitches along with our FortiGate, FortiAP, FortiClient and FortiAnalyzer for quite a long time and it's really helpful for us particularly in simplified Management including Configuration, Change Management, Firmware Upgrades, Troubleshooting. Being a Network Administrator and managing multiple locations office Network was a real tough job with followed SLAs and this tool helped us in that concern. From IT-HQ, we are able to manage and operate all location Network Switches, Wifi Access Points including performing cable tests and Spectrum Analysis on LAN and WLAN. This has also increased our Security Posture at Network Level and in this modern day, cyber-threats have to be contained with Access Security.

Aruba access points sit in the mid-price segment and deliver a broad feature set that covers a wide range of enterprise wireless networking requirements. Performance under correct configuration is genuinely strong, and the product portfolio is extensive, spanning indoor and outdoor models to accommodate diverse deployment scenarios. That said, the platform is not well suited for mid-sized IT departments without dedicated networking expertise. The configuration complexity regularly exceeds what an internal team can reasonably manage without external support, and we ultimately required a service provider to assist with the initial setup. For large-scale deployments with the right resources behind them, Aruba performs well. For organizations of our size, the overhead is difficult to justify.

My experience with the product has been highly satisfactory, mainly because these switches stand out for their reliability and performance at the core level. However, due to their proprietary operating system (Junos), we have occasionally experienced problems updating them, as it is a difficult operating system to manage in case of unforeseen events.
