We have had a very positive experience with Conviva, mainly due to their top-notch customer service and advanced stream video data analysis. The platform has revolutionized our ability to monitor and understand streaming metrics, providing real-time insights that are critical to quickly troubleshooting and making strategic decisions. What stands out in Conviva's proactive service, including thorough training and frequent briefings, as well as direct assistance in setting up our dashboards during the busy run-up period, which has significantly improved our readiness. We are especially impressed by their openness to user opinions. When we mentioned our difficulties with monitoring multiple streams and the lack of flexible settings, Conviva team quickly recognized these issues and began working on possible improvements, including temporary solutions to alleviate our challenges in the meantime. While the Conviva platform was essential for quickly identifying and resolving issues post-launch and deepening our insights with features like ECO for customized reporting, there is still a need for more flexibility in how we manage event durations. Despite this. Conviva's ongoing commitment to improving its services makes it a key partner in our media operations. The level of support they provide is extraordinary and fosters a true collaboration and beneficial relationship.

Implementation of Conviva into our products was not as seamless as was advertised. There were some challenges integrating into our code. On the bright side, the Conviva team we worked with was very helpful and knowledgeable of their product and was able to assist in the process.

- Conviva's team is incredibly engaged and supportive, consistently providing personalized training and staying involved with regular updates to ensure we fully leverage their tools - The platform offers in-depth, real-time analytics for live streaming, along with specialized features like ECO for customized reporting, allowing us to adjust data analysis to meet our unique requirements. - They are dedicated to thoroughly understanding and addressing issues, giving hands-on support during essential operational phases, which was crucial for the success of our project.

Like

From a developer standpoint, I like that Conviva provides a wide array of data points. I don't need to integrate a bunch of different frameworks and code bases to provide a variety of data to our analytics team.

Like

Echo and Video analysis reports that focus a lot on user journeys along with deep analysis of video streaming performance on our platforms. This will help us identify the current product challenges that can be handled and resolved in a better way

Dislike

While Conviva offers powerful tools, their current time range options for monitoring live events are too restrictive. We would like to be able to get statistics from the start of the event and throughout the entire duration of the event, as opposed to just last 10 minutes. Introducing more flexible event duration settings would greatly increase our operational efficiency.

1. Integration is not plug and play. There are a few steps needed before it will track properly. 2. Touchstone has a few bugs that have caused confusion during development and our internal QA. 3. The documentation is extensive, but can be confusing at times.

Dislike

Nothing so far, the team has already set up onboarding sessions with us and introduced Conviva tools and features to help us perform better in terms of video analysis and User experience. For non-tech members they might face some challenges reading and dealing with all the filters and dashboards that conviva supports.
