I like that it is easy to use, the customer support is easy to get a hold of, and there is plenty of opportunity for training and learning.
Coves biggest strength is that it just works. Backups are consistent, restores are fast, and the platform doesnt require constant babysitting. Its clearly designed with MSPs and IT teams in mind, which makes ongoing operations efficient rather than painful.
Everything, when it comes to backup, Cove just works.
I am honestly having a really hard time coming up with things I dislike about the service. I guess if I have to come up with something, it would be that you don't get everything the Cove offers in one price. If you want a standup image, that costs more. If you want to use their Recovery Testing, then that is also an added cost. That would be my biggest complaint.
While the fundamentals are strong, Cove isnt perfect. Some areas feel a bit basic compared to more enterprise-focused platforms, and theres room for improvement in visibility and customization. What are the main issues or weaknesses? Please be specific and list at least 3. Reporting and alerting could be more detailed and customizable Advanced configuration options are limited for complex use cases The interface can feel restrictive when managing large or diverse environments Fewer advanced analytics and historical insights than higher-end competitors
I really can't think of any, we haven't run into any issues. And just late last week we had to restore an old server before the weekend and Cove had all the data and the backup went flawlessly
