The product works but when there is a hiccup, which is partly something that I have done on our end or introduced new technology to the office, Druva has responded with a solution. For instance I started with physical servers then migrate to 50/50 Physical and Virtual. In between used NAS as a storage device. With every new technology I introduced to the company, Druva had a Physical server, a NAS and Virtual backup solution waiting for us to use. But hands down is the TECH SUPPORT staff. You can tell a lot about a company based on how they treat their customers after we invested in their products.

Single dashboard for managing all my SaaS and on-premise backup requirements. We have a M365 tenant with Teams and OneDrive (SharePoint) content in addition to Exchange, we also have a Google Apps tenant with Drive and Gmail content and we have VMs both on-premise and in Azure. Druva can handle all of these workloads.
There is nothing I dislike, but the world of Offsite/Cloud based backup is the cost associated with the service. The more data we have the more it costs even if the more we use gives us a better price. Its money. Sometimes I find myself trying to balance how long to keep backup vs. the cost of long term storage. That doesn't mean the product is bad, its just the cost of doing business. It can be a an issue if the decision not to retain the data for longer period of time comes at a cost of loss data.
Dhruva's major data protection strategy is tied up closely with AWS. Unlike with other cloud vendors it offers fewer features as compared to AWS.
The lack of options for limiting preservation backup retention periods is probably my biggest complaint. We're a school district and we backup student data but not for any compliance reasons, just to restore in the case of accidental deletion or vandalism. We do not need to retain this data once the student leaves our district. The active backup retention schedules are quite flexible but the automatic archive that kicks in when a backup license is removed from an account does not currently allow for really short expiration times (e.g. <1 week). We find ourselves consuming a bunch preservation licenses for student accounts that we no longer even care to backup. Our use-case is a little atypical though and keeping backups too long is hardly much of a complaint.

Druva gives us reliable, centralized backups for our VMware servers and file shares without having to maintain additional backup hardware on-site. It offers good reporting and it is easy to manage. We had some proxy failures early on, but support and the documentation helped us work through that. There have been no recent issues and it's been quite stable for a couple of years.
