Datto Alto Likes & Dislikes

Altos are small, dependable, and easy to configure. The dashboard shows you exactly what you need to know and has a compressed mode which makes it easy to see basic success/failure status for many devices at once.

The best part of the service was reliability. Have had to restore multiple times and was able to do full restores or go down to a single file if necessary.

Its easy to use, the features are being enhanced, and is device GUI is straightforward, and the fact that you can replicate to cloud give a reliable tool

Altos have a 2TB maximum storage capacity, which is easy to outgrow. Sirus devices have higher capacities, but are more expensive.

Spent many hours on the phone with support. It was very difficult to get someone who was able to assist with the many issues.

You can't allow to backup servers that have many active resources, ALTO is not the best option for those servers
