VMware Live Recovery Likes & Dislikes
Almost Near Instant Recovery Time Seamless Integration with the VMware Ecosystem Granular Recovery Options are there User friendly interface is there with its clean, responsive and easy to navigate features
Recovery is its fast and reliable recovery process, the seamless integration with VMware environments, and the intuitive unified interface that makes managing backups and restores straightforward. The automated recovery workflows and strong ransomware protection features also provide confidence that our workloads are safe and can be quickly restored when needed.
Being able to spin up recovery plans and test them without downtime is a huge win. Integration with vSphere makes it super convenient. The visibility during recovery is great. You actually know what's happening instead of guessing.
Complexity Involved in Licensing and Price Structure. Learning curve is very steep for new users, and is time consuming. Might observe occasional UI lag during heavy usage. Might have limited visibility for non-admin roles, which can limit what support teams or other users are able to do, such as access to detailed logs or system information.
Recovery is that the licensing model can be confusing, especially when scaling up, and the documentation could be more comprehensive for complex recovery scenarios. Additionally, there can be a learning curve for new users due to the advanced features, and occasional delays in support responses can be frustrating when urgent recovery help is needed.
A few small annoyances. The UI can feel dated and slow at times, especially when you're juggling multiple recovery plans. Licensing isn't super clear and it's easy to overthink what you need. The document could be a lot better. Some of the setup steps felt like trial and error until we figured out what worked. Definitely rough around the edges.

From my perspective the interface is clean, easy to navigate and responsive. Whether it's about starting a recovery, tracking its progress or keeping an eye on workload, it's very straightforward. Speed really makes a difference over here as being able to recover virtual machines and files almost instantly has saved a lot of potential downtime. Additionally, the built-in automation and smart recovery points also give me confidence that my organization’s data is not only protected, but it can be restored quickly whenever we need it. - SYSTEMS ENGINEER<50M USDMiscellaneousReview Source

Single Solution Streamlines Backup and Disaster Recovery Without Needing Separate Software
VMware Live Recovery offers me service for both disaster and backup service which means no need to use two different software. I can validate the snapshots before restoring using the isolated recovery environment.
