In a school environment, protecting staff and admin data is critical, but we don't have a large team to manage a complex system. Compared to our previous solution, Druva has simplified backup management and given us better visibility into the data we are protecting. Druva is easy to use and manage and support has been quite good.
The ransomware recovery feature which helped us to recover the data from clean snapshots averted the data loss and downtime
-The ability to customize backup profile to a great degree, limiting or enabling certain folders and file types to be backed up etc. -The console is great and easy to navigate, also has good measures in place to prevent you from doing something you shouldn't. -Jobs tracking is quick and accurate. Always knowing where the job is at
We ran into an issue early on with some backup proxy failures which took some time to remedy. Support and good documentation were helpful in getting it resolved.
Dhruva's major data protection strategy is tied up closely with AWS. Unlike with other cloud vendors it offers fewer features as compared to AWS.
-Searching in a snapshot limits you to words more than 3 characters -Restores of large files/many folders can take an extra-long time -Searching in a snapshot by time period can show duplicates of emails making it difficult to find the correct one

Druva gives us reliable, centralized backups for our VMware servers and file shares without having to maintain additional backup hardware on-site. It offers good reporting and it is easy to manage. We had some proxy failures early on, but support and the documentation helped us work through that. There have been no recent issues and it's been quite stable for a couple of years.
