the solutions that AvePoint is having is great, in terms of usability, espcially the new updates are bringing the power of Agents to make back up and recovering seemless. AvePoint Sales and Tech support is very humble and always ready to help.
There are a few things I like most about the product. I enjoy the backup and recovery options, being able to look into permissions and data, and seeing how well it integrates with Microsoft 365. The reporting is also especially helpful. Finally, using some of the security tools in one place has made our management a lot easier.
Some advanced features and configurations are not very intuitive and require significant admin involvement. The initial setup, updates, and troubleshooting can also be time-consuming, especially when managing access and deployments at an organizational scale. Additionally, many users are accustomed to older visuals and reports, and any changes to them can cause resistance. As a result, we often need to maintain legacy reports alongside newer versions, which increases maintenance effort.
I still feel the interface is not user friendly (non-technical users), while admin needs to jump in for most of the scenerios.
One issue is that the interface can feel overwhelming at first. There are so many options and features to navigate, that when you try out the product for the first time, you're not sure where to start. It would be nice to have some sort of tutorial or guidance. I believe this correlates with the second weakness, on how some features aren't intuitive without documentation. There were several times where I had to look up where to go just to complete a specific task. Finally, the setup can take time depending on the environment. In our case, I was brought on after the implementation, but heard about some of the complexities that were involved. I still see some issues like things not backing up, errors so often, but they are easily resolved. Very powerful, but not always beginner friendly.

We have been using AvePoint for our SharePoint and M365 management needs and overall our experience has been very positive. The platform offers a comprehensive set of tools that simplify migration, backup, governance and reporting activities. The migration capabilities are robust and flexible, allowing us to handle complex site restructures and content moves with minimal disruption. The backup and restore functionality provides confidence and reliability, ensuring that we can quickly recover content when needed. In addition, the governance and reporting features help maintain compliance and visibility across our tenant. The solution integrates well with our existing M365 environment and supports automation that has significantly reduced manual workload.
