The company's primary focus is on contributing to global health improvement. It achieves this by creating and implementing health-centric software that is used broadly by healthcare professionals and patients. The software facilitates the enhancement of care services, thereby leading to a reduction in health risks universally. Healthcare expertise is not a prerequisite since intensive IT and professional growth training are offered to all new hires. High performance is a standard in the company, spurred by the high stakes involved in healthcare.

1. Interface is very user friendly and easy to navigate 2. Patient-facing opportunities via MyChart 3. Opportunities for external application integration
What I most like about the product is its efficiency and functionality. It provides regular updates which make its functionality better and easier over time.
I think what I like most is the way it integrates data across the entire healthcare enterprise. It's not just an EMR! It brings all organizational data into one framework. It's incredibly flexible and customizable.
1. It can be laggy, especially when uploading multiple files 2. Keyboard shortcuts are not intuitive with various operating systems 3. Modules are not very scalable
What I dislike is that it had many requirements in order to be able to use the system. Sometimes the multiple screens make it impossible to find the information you're looking for.
I think the complexity of the data environment is the most challenging thing about Epic. It requires a higher level of technical expertise and a pretty vast learning curve.
