Performance of Epic Across Market Features
Epic Likes & Dislikes
I think what I like most is the way it integrates data across the entire healthcare enterprise. It's not just an EMR! It brings all organizational data into one framework. It's incredibly flexible and customizable.
What I most like about the product is its efficiency and functionality. It provides regular updates which make its functionality better and easier over time.
1. Interface is very user friendly and easy to navigate 2. Patient-facing opportunities via MyChart 3. Opportunities for external application integration
I think the complexity of the data environment is the most challenging thing about Epic. It requires a higher level of technical expertise and a pretty vast learning curve.
What I dislike is that it had many requirements in order to be able to use the system. Sometimes the multiple screens make it impossible to find the information you're looking for.
1. It can be laggy, especially when uploading multiple files 2. Keyboard shortcuts are not intuitive with various operating systems 3. Modules are not very scalable

Extensive Organizational Data Integration Balanced By Complexity In Metrics Configuration
My overall experience with EPIC's data and analytics has been positive, but with some important caveats. On the strenghts side, Epic offers a very robust ecosystem. Tools like Clarity and Caboodle give access to large volumes of structured data, and Reporting Workbench makes it possible for end user to run operational reports directly within the EMR. The integration across clinical, financial and operational domains is a real advantage, since it allows for a more comprehensive view of patient care and organizational performance. - OPERATIONS MANAGER50M-1B USDInsurance (except health)Review Source
