High performance, reliability and simplicity.
Best part is that it has reduced dependacies on DBA so we won't have to dedicate a separate DBA team
Uptime: 100% over 5 years. Best storage reliability I've ever seen. Evergreen: I don't worry about my hardware aging. I never had to lift and shift everything. Speed: All-flash. All day, all the time. I don't need performance tiers for my storage. Size: I remember the days of massive racks of storage, entire rows in my DC. Pure is delightfully compact.
Overall, there is very little to dislike. If anything, the main drawback is the cost, which can be higher compared to some alternatives, but this is balanced by the product's performance, reliability, and reduced operational overhead.
No dislike is particular but yes the product is expensive, but it is reasonable up to some extent
It's expensive. But worth it. I didn't enjoy having to explain to my CFO over and over that constant data growth means more storage needed.
