What is Google Meet?

Google Meet is a video conferencing software developed to facilitate secure and flexible online meetings, webinars, and virtual collaborations for organizations of various sizes. The software allows users to host video calls with multiple participants, share screens, present documents, and utilize real-time chat during meetings. Features such as integration with calendar and email services, adjustable layouts, background noise cancellation, and attendance tracking help streamline communication and workflow. The software addresses the business need for remote connectivity, enabling teams to interact efficiently regardless of their physical location, thereby supporting productivity and operational continuity in distributed environments.

Google Meet Pricing

Google Meet software follows a subscription-based pricing model as part of Google Workspace plans, with different tiers offering varying levels of features and participant limits; there is also a free version with basic functionalities and restrictions on meeting duration and participant count.

My overall experience with Google meet has been incredibly positive. It's extremely easy to use, especially since it runs right in the browser without needing any clunky software downloads. Lacks lot of latest features which are available in other platforms. But if its integration that you are looking for then this might be it.

Performance of Google Meet Across Market Features

Google Meet Likes & Dislikes

Like

What I like most is how perfectly it integrates with Google Calendar and Gmail. I never have ti dig around for meeting links or open a separate app: the join button is right there and I can change the background into beautiful places sometimes it gives me clam and also we for refreshments with colleagues by playing with different characters.

Like

Security, reliability and Integration

Like

What I like most about Google meet is its simplicity and reliability. For instance, Google Meet works well with Google calendar and Gmail, which makes a big difference as I can easily schedule a virtual meeting with ease. The platform is also reliable and works well across all gadgets, with features that make a lot of sense in day to day meetings.

Dislike

To be honest, there is nothing I dislike about Google meet. Just a small issue sometimes as the chat history disappears once the call ends. If a colleague drops a helpful link or important note in the chat, I have to remember to copy and paste it somewhere else before we hand the call back over, otherwise it's gone completely.

Dislike

Connectivity issues and there is a participation plan in some plans.

Dislike

The one thing that I dislike most about using Google Meet for meetings and video conferencing sessions is the absence of advanced features for bigger meetings. Additionally, there is scope for customization and meeting analytics as well as meeting and event functionality, which may be limited for bigger meetings and teams.

Google Meet Reliably Supports Daily Meetings Yet Customization Options Remain Limited

    5.0
    Feb 7, 2026
Overall, my experience with Google Meet has been good in the context of day to day business communication. It is an easy service to use and has been reliable in my testing. In addition, Google Meet has performed well, primarily in the context of the Google Workspace suite of products. While the service does not have the same level of bells and whistles as some of the other conferencing and telepresence products that are out there, it has been adequate for day to day meetings.

Overall my experience with Google Meet has been smooth and reliable. It works well for day to day office meetings, client calls and collaborative projects. The main advantage is the ease with which you can join and host meetings directly from a browser without having to download large software. It seamlessly integrates with Gmail and Google Calendar. For regular business meeting communications it does the job without being too complicated.

Efficient Meeting Notes With Google Meet, But Collaboration Features Remain Limited

    Mar 18, 2026
Google Meet is one of the best online meeting apps that I have ever used. It offers meeting recordings, transcripts, screen sharing, annotations and breakout rooms to make it a more interactive and powerful tool for online meetings. The app also writes minutes of the meeting with full details and an actionable task list.

It keeps things simple so I can focus more on the conversation instead of settings or technical problems. Its consistent performance and easy access make it a dependable choice for regular work and team discussions even though it does not try to be flashy or overloaded with features.
