I especially like the flexibility, scalability, tenant management and token-based authentication. The implementation definitely requires some advanced planning, however. I like the fact that it offers a fully-standardized observability platform.
Simple dashboards are easy, but advanced alerting and complex queries often require deep knowledge of Promql. For non-technical stakeholders, the barrier to entry remains high.

As with any metric/log stack, it is complex and requires advanced engineering and planning for proper implementation and especially scale. It is not something that can run under someone's desk and carries quite a bit of operational complexity (object storage, compute, upgrade paths, query tuning, dashboard work, etc.). Depending on what you'd like to do with the stack, cost and licensing overhead need to be considered very carefully.
