Hive very much cares about UX and heavily invests into things like smooth UI and quick loading times. It doesn't integrate very well with outside systems but as a self-contained tool it's remarkably customizable and, in our company, we find we don't need to customize it very much.

There is a very long learning curve with Hive - it took me a full year to feel somewhat comfortable using it because it's just not intuitive (at least, not to me). It has many quirks that take time to learn - I am still discovering new ones after 4 years of using.
