Hoxhunt Likes & Dislikes
What i personally like and what i also consider the strongest aspect of hoxhunt is that it transforms routine security awareness into a habit building exercise. Instead of treating cyber security as just a box ticking exercise, the program encourages me to actively pause, observe and analyze emails more carefully. Over time i have noticed that i have now started to apply this same caution even outside the simulated environment, which makes me feel more confident about handling real world scenarios
They are realistic and relevant
The gamification of the phishing/spam reporting process has been game changing. I feel much more engaged and vigilant, as in, it keeps me on my toes because I know to expect an email to come in. This has the added benefit of becoming more wary of other phishing/spam that's not coming from HoxHunt but actual threat actors, making me way more likely to recognize and report genuine threats. Getting additional points and seeing my name go up the leaderboard makes me want to go through the additional training that helps me become better at recognizing threats.
1. Repetition of simulations: Over time, certain types of phishing simulations start to feel predictable. Once you become familiar with the style and structure, its easier to recognize them as hoxhunt rather than genuine threats. This reduces the challenge and slightly limits the real-world applicability 2. Explanations can feel a bit short: The feedback after submitting is helpful, but sometimes it feels too brief. A little more detail on why something was flagged and how similar real-life cases might look would make the learning even stronger 3. It's not very tailored to my role: I'm a junior developer, so emails like My Company has released a list of people to be promoted to manager, click the link to find out who feel like an obvious attempt at phishing. I'm nowhere near a managerial role. And especially if it's external, I just report it outright. Emails tailored to each position would be a great addition
Simulations can be too easy
1. You might get an email outside of working hours and then because you took a long time to report it (because you'd only see it after arriving at work) you get less points on the leaderboard. 2. The tool is not aware of public holidays so you may still get an email during time off and then it will get marked as missed if you don't report it for a few days. 3. I can't seem to find a way to open HoxHunt's dashboard without having to report an email, so if I don't have an email to report, I can't access the dashboard which is a minor inconvenience - but then again, there might be a way I am just not aware of.

Realistic Simulations Build Awareness, Though "Feedback" and "simulations tailored to specific roles" aspect Need Improvement
My overall experience with HoxHunt has been very positive. The platform has helped me become more aware and cautious in identifying potential phishing attempts and other security threats in day to day comms. I have also found the simulations to be both realistic and engaging and they strike a good balance between being challenging enough to test my attention and simple enough to integrate into my workflow without disruption. - IT Associate50M-1B USDMiscellaneousReview Source

Engaging and informative cybersecurity learning tool - this user asks for more frequent and harder challenges
I have a lot of fun with Hoxhunt, and it has made me a more cautious person (in a good way). While the phishing emails are fairly obvious at my current level, they are frequent enough to keep me alert for real threats. The gamification has worked on me since I actually care about making progress, and I have tried additional features such as phish-a-friend. - ASSOCIATE IT OPERATIONS L11B-10B USDMediaReview Source
A modern, user-friendly Security Awareness Solution that elevates employee's participation and Reporting
The overall experience with Hoxhunt is quite impressive. Our users are praising its gaming training model to increase the participation and for each reporting email Hoxhunt gives us stars and badges and shares the scores and makes phishing awareness more fun. The simulated emails are quite impressive and very realistic according to hoxhunt. The hoxhunt button helps us to report phishing emails and spam emails. Hoxhunt is far better than others, the integration of hoxhunt with other platforms like outlook and MS tools is very easy. Overall, it's been a good experience with Hoxhunt and its support team for past 1 year. - Management Consultant<50M USDServices (non-Government)Review Source
Fantastic gamified service with targeted learning and smooth integration in Outlook
Hoxhunt is an excellent cybersecurity platform. It gamifies the process of helping employees avoid falling for phishing traps and tells people *why* a simulated phish email was dangerous. This offers users a chance to learn specific concepts with a specific example -- a strategy that will help them retain the knowledge Hoxhunt is trying to teach them.
