The gamification of the phishing/spam reporting process has been game changing. I feel much more engaged and vigilant, as in, it keeps me on my toes because I know to expect an email to come in. This has the added benefit of becoming more wary of other phishing/spam that's not coming from HoxHunt but actual threat actors, making me way more likely to recognize and report genuine threats. Getting additional points and seeing my name go up the leaderboard makes me want to go through the additional training that helps me become better at recognizing threats.
They are realistic and relevant
Hoxhunt makes cybersecure behavior fun. Learning is mostly passive but still impactful, and I feel that both the company and I have benefited from being enrolled in the program. Other strengths are the UI quality and the variety of phishing emails.
1. You might get an email outside of working hours and then because you took a long time to report it (because you'd only see it after arriving at work) you get less points on the leaderboard. 2. The tool is not aware of public holidays so you may still get an email during time off and then it will get marked as missed if you don't report it for a few days. 3. I can't seem to find a way to open HoxHunt's dashboard without having to report an email, so if I don't have an email to report, I can't access the dashboard which is a minor inconvenience - but then again, there might be a way I am just not aware of.
Simulations can be too easy
No (clear) way to opt in for more phishing emails or increase the difficulty - I have worked at several different companies who use Hoxhunt, but have always had to start from the bottom with training. It would be great if one could take some test to unlock harder/more innocuous phishing attempts, or simply increase their frequency (though I recognize that people who get more emails than I do might not appreciate too many phishes in their inbox).

Engaging and informative cybersecurity learning tool - this user asks for more frequent and harder challenges
I have a lot of fun with Hoxhunt, and it has made me a more cautious person (in a good way). While the phishing emails are fairly obvious at my current level, they are frequent enough to keep me alert for real threats. The gamification has worked on me since I actually care about making progress, and I have tried additional features such as phish-a-friend. - ASSOCIATE IT OPERATIONS L11B-10B USDMediaReview Source
A modern, user-friendly Security Awareness Solution that elevates employee's participation and Reporting
The overall experience with Hoxhunt is quite impressive. Our users are praising its gaming training model to increase the participation and for each reporting email Hoxhunt gives us stars and badges and shares the scores and makes phishing awareness more fun. The simulated emails are quite impressive and very realistic according to hoxhunt. The hoxhunt button helps us to report phishing emails and spam emails. Hoxhunt is far better than others, the integration of hoxhunt with other platforms like outlook and MS tools is very easy. Overall, it's been a good experience with Hoxhunt and its support team for past 1 year. - TeacherGov't/PS/EdEducationReview Source
Instant Feedback on Suspicious Messages Enhances Security Awareness for Teachers
Hoxhunt is integrated with my email and easy to use. It's reassuring to have an option to click when I am not sure of the origins or intentions behind a message - Hoxhunt determines the threat for me so I don't have to question whether or not to click on a message. The training is embedded in my email and I have options to participate in the instruction based on the amount of time I have as a teacher. - Associate Engineer Trainee10B+ USDTelecommunicationReview Source
Realistic Simulations Build Awareness, Though "Feedback" and "simulations tailored to specific roles" aspect Need Improvement
My overall experience with HoxHunt has been very positive. The platform has helped me become more aware and cautious in identifying potential phishing attempts and other security threats in day to day comms. I have also found the simulations to be both realistic and engaging and they strike a good balance between being challenging enough to test my attention and simple enough to integrate into my workflow without disruption.
