InsightSquared is very good at identifying the most important revenue generating parameters and win/loss patterns from the sales numbers. This kind of data representation has been very helpful in analyzing those trends and adjusting our sales strategy.
For me, the best part is the flexibility for tracking historical performance and time series analytics. Salesforce is extremely poor at this and IS gives you that ability right out of the box. Ultimately giving you good tools to do sales forecasting as well. They also have solid pre-built reports that get you started fast.
support was slow and integration to our CRM was difficult.
InsightSquared also fails to provide insight on the lost opportunities during the sales process. Decision making is limited when there is no information about lost deals that otherwise could provide great value to the efficiency of the sales funnel.
There are some newness to the platform. While some things are configurable and customizable; others are not. Also, the search functionality is a bit behind the curve and it would be really amazing if that feature meet the market with capabilities. Also i believe its on the roadmap but SSO integrations with Okta would be great.

A good starter tool for quick time series analysis on salesforce with continued features
Overall Insight Squared is good tool. We use salesforce and the integration is easy and the sync timings are near real-time which is good to analyze the business. It instantly gives you a capability well beyond salesforce reporting but you still need to have good governance of your data in order to leverage it will. I would say its a great starter tool for those looking for more meaningful reports than salesforce produces.
