The product offers solid functionality and supports our core processes effectively. We particularly appreciate its capabilities in downstream processing which is well aligned with our operational needs. The overall support is also responsive.

Configurability (there are a multitude of ways to configure the product, whether that be to highlight exceptions, automate actions, or any other task) Flexibility via Scenario Management - scenarios in Kinaxis are truly a powerful tool that can allow users to model different business scenarios and system settings User Interface - while there are some system quirks, there are a lot of positives, including flexibility with hierarchies and filters as well as the ability to import/export with Excel if needed Maestro Chatbot - this is a new feature that is proving to be a very efficient way to ask questions and receive answers on functionality

1. Complexity during the initial design phase The systems high flexibility requires process definition during implementation. A solid understanding and alignment with standard processes are key to success. 2. Lack of built-in functionality for production leveling We achieved production leveling by leveraging time-varying safety stock and daily inventory adjustments. However, it required additional time to develop this mechanism externally to Maestro. 3. Specialized knowledge required for advanced reporting While standard functionality is sufficient for most use cases, advanced visualization and analytics require expertise with dedicated reporting tools.

Areas of improvement such as performance issues and MLS functionality in Supply Planning have impacted significantly at times. We also need to create a chain of proactive communication regarding upcoming features and roadmap visibility.

Complexity - with flexibility comes complexity. We've noticed that often there are many configuration options to solve problems. The out-of-the-box workbooks are modifiable, which is a big positive, but the workbooks can be excessively complex because they try to account for requirements most companies don't need. Java / Web Migration - The new web interface is a lot cleaner than the Java version, but the transition seems to be slowing tool evolution overall. Also, from an admin standpoint, the development interface is significantly different. I'm confident once it's complete it will be an overall upgrade, but getting there is a little painful. Make-to-Stock - while the system can certainly handle make-to-stock, doing so efficiently requires constrained planning
